Pheasant Lodge
Cowans Law is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is situated within 1500 acres of woodland. The estate offers a wealth of activities including clay pigeon shooting, archery, air rifle range and fishing.
Pheasant Lodge is perfect for the small family unit. Ayrshire has some beautiful coastal walks with a superb backdrop of the ever-changing. profile of the mountains of Arran, across the Firth of Clyde, steeped in history and teeming with wildlife, including red squirrels, deer, otters and seals. It is also a haven for bird watchers.
Inland, there are gardens and castles to visit and activities such as riding, racing and golf to enjoy. There are many golf courses including the world famous Royal Troon and Turnberry courses, both close to hand, with Turnberry also having a fantastic spa and outdoor centre. Culzean Castle (owned by the National Trust for Scotland) is spectacular, as is Dumfries House.
The islands of Cumbrae, Arran and Bute are all easily reached for a day out while day trips to Ireland can be taken from Cairnryan. The cosmopolitan city of Glasgow is a mere 35 minutes away whilst historic Edinburgh is reachable in an hour and a half. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is an hour’s drive and is well worth a visit. Beach 8 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
Pheasant Lodge can be booked together with Stag Lodge and Mallard Lodge to accommodate up to 14 guests.
